The Presidents with the Highest IQ Scores

It takes a lot of brainpower to run a country, so take a look and see how these presidents stack up!

John Quincy Adams

At a score of 175, Harvard grad John Quincy Adams has the highest estimated IQ of all U.S. presidents. Studying all around the world and becoming fluent in seven languages, Adams became a lawyer without even completing law school.

Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson had an IQ of 160 and was a true Renaissance man. His achievements were in the areas of economics, architecture, food and wine, agriculture, paleontology, astronomy, music, and writing. Politically, he wrote the Declaration of Independence and doubled the size of the United States in 1803 with the Louisiana Purchase.

James Madison

Even as the shortest US President, James Madison’ IQ definitely stacked up at 160. He was considered Princeton’s first graduate student even though he didn’t technically earn a degree, and he is called the “Father of the Constitution,” authoring the Bill of Rights.

John F. Kennedy

Graduating from Harvard in 1940 and having an IQ of 159.8, Kennedy won a Purple Heart in World War II for his heroic actions in the South Pacific, and was later elected to both the House and Senate. He was the second-youngest president in history and the first and only Catholic president.

Bill Clinton

With an IQ estimated to be 159, Clinton was born in Arkansas and later attended school at Georgetown, Oxford, and Yale. Becoming president in 1992, one of Clinton’s biggest achievements was the signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement.

How to Binge Read Like a Pro

Books are oh so wonderful! They can transport us to a different place or a different time without us even having to move, they thrill, they entertain, they make us laugh, they make us cry! What better reason to be a binge reader, and here’s how to binge read like a pro.

Always have a book with you. Morning commute? Read a book! Lunch break at work? Read while you eat! Waiting to meet a friend for coffee? Read! Read! Read! If you’ve got a book with you wherever you go, be it paper or digital, you’ll always find time to catch up on your reading wherever you are. You’ll be burning through books before you know it.

Drop the Netflix subscription. We all love to curl up on the couch and zone out in front of the TV every once in a while, but all that watching is cutting into your reading time! Opt for a good book instead of what’s streaming, where do you think show producers get all their ideas anyway?

Get a library card or a subscription to an online library. Binge reading can be an expensive habit, with both paper and ebooks costing a pretty penny for all the latest titles. But a library card can give you access to every single book your library holds, often for free, and a subscription to an online library gives you the same access no matter where you find yourself!

Looking to get started? Why not catch up with the classics! Visit our online library at www.craveread.com for a wide variety of ebooks, audiobooks, music, and more. Accessible anytime, anywhere, from your favorite devices.
